Lightning Nails

This is actually one of my favorites so far, it is very simple to do. If your hand shakes when painting your nails then this is the nails for you!

Step one: 

Paint your nails black 

Step two:

For this tutorial I used a shimmery metallic blue and a napkin. You can use a dark blue or a silver to create the same effect. 

Place a drop of the metallic blue color on a piece of paper and tap in with a little piece of napkin.

Step Three: 

Tap the piece of napkin on your nails, do it all around the nail but make sure you can still see the black underneath it. The napkin is used to give it texture without covering up the black.

It should look like this, like a blue and black night sky. 

Step four: 

Now is time to draw the lightning. Using a thin brush, draw shaky lines down your fingernail and then from that original line make smaller lines coming out of it.  

Step five: 

Repeat the same step on all your nails, make sure that each nail looks a little different.

Step six: 

For a final touch add a little silver glitter to the lighting but not too much, this will make them sparkle a little.

Monkey Nails

This nail tutorial is a little difficult but with patience it can be done. I put little squares in some of the pictures with a drawing of the layers of nail polish, I thought that might be helpful.   




Step 1: 


Start by painting your nails of the desired background color, I used light purple for this tutorial.

Step 2:

Using a dark brown nail polish pain a semi circle in the nail where you want the monkey to be.

Step 3: 

Using a lighter shade of brown make the inside face of the monkey. Make sure you use a thin brush. 

Step 4: 

Make the nose as a curved line, make the mouth as a simple smiley face, using a dotting tool make two white dots for the eyes, and then two smaller black dots inside the white ones. 

Step 5: 

Use the darker brown to make the ears, is very simple just make a circle on each side of the monkey's face. 

Step 6: 

Using the lighter brown make a C shaped line inside of the ears made in the previous step. 

Step 7: 

To make the hair of the monkey just make strokes of brown at the top of the head of the monkey.

Polka Dots With a Classy Twist.

Step 1. 


Paint your nails all white, is a lot easier to do it this way than to pain just have of the nail white. 

Step 2.

Paint the top left side of the nail black diagonally.

It is actually very simple to do this, just start by painting the diagonal line and then pain in the rest.

Step 3.

Using a dotting tool, make small white dots on the black part of the nail. make sure that all dots are evenly spread. 

Step 4.

Repeat in all your nails. you can mix and match colors or even do black dots in the white part as well.
